本州、四国及び九州に分布する。北アメリカ原産で世界各地に分布を広げている。キミガヨランの葉鞘下に生息し、食植性。
This species is distributed in Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. It is native to North America and has widely spread throughout the world. It lives under the leaf sheath of Yucca recurvifolia.
